Parents with children who commute to school have been challenged to ensure their children use safe modes of transport. The call follows a tragic accident which claimed lives of four children and the driver of a commuter omnibus which was ferrying children from Hartzel Primary school recently. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education’s Director of Communications and Advocacy Mr. Taungana Ndoro said parents should desist from using unregistered transport operators to ferry their children. A snap survey by Diamond FM indicates that commuter omnibus operators overload school children to and from various schools intown, maximizing on their profits while endangering children’s lives.
