The Meteorological Services Department says moderate rains are still expected with localized downpours countrywide, further revealing that the cloud band which was responsible for the rainfall over the weekend has since weakened and moved eastward into Mozambique.

Met Department weather forecaster James Ngoma made the revelation in a daily weather update yesterday.

Meanwhile farmers have been urged to practice water harvesting, irrigate where plant stress is noted and stay informed about weather through daily forecasts.
