The civil division of Mutare High court recorded a 100 % clearance rate of cases despite a 70% increase of workload last year, while the criminal division achieved the same.
Officially opening the Judicial Services Commission, 2023 Legal Year at High court of Zimbabwe, Mutare, this morning, Constitutional Court Judge, Justice Paddington Garwe commended the achievement, saying the backlog of criminal cases was reduced to 638 from an opening balance of 762 owing to the hard work of magistrates, judges and JSC officers in the province.
He further encouraged continuation of the positive trajectory in the year 2023.
