Buhera livestock farmers receive training on animal health

Livestock farmers in Buhera district are receiving training on animal health and welfare with assistance from Agriculture Extension Services in partnership with Veterinary Services Department. Buhera Livestock Specialist Bezel Musendo said focus is now shifting from livestock rearing for own needs to cattle productivity that contributes to the growth of the formal beef markets by ensuring livestock is not affected by diseases that occur during this time of the season. Since time immemorial, livestock rearing had been the backbone of many African communities.
