Farmers facing challenges set to receive aid from ARDA.

The Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (ARDA) has embarked on a sustainable farming programme targeting to assist farmers facing challenges put at least 50 000 hectares under crop production. ARDA Board chairperson Craig Ivan said it is imperative that all farmers with land which they are failing to put into good use due to lack of resources and equipment, seize the opportunity being presented by ARDA for maximum utilization of their land. He further stated that the joint-venture programme will provide opportunities for qualified and competent staff for management of the farms, market linkages and favorable farmer returns as they will be attached to the farms.
