A local non-governmental organization, promoting sustainable environmental management has reiterated the need for mining companies to respect the rights of communities they operate in. Speaking on the sidelines of a training workshop by the organization and its stakeholders, Green Governance Zimbabwe Trust Director, Frank Mpahlo said the right to clean water and education among others should always be observed hence the need for local government structures to be involved in the operations of the various companies operating in mining communities.
