Chipinge town residents have expressed concern over the poor maintenance of some roads in the town saying this has left vegetable vendors exposed to excessive dust, leaving their health in jeopardy. Chipinge Town Community Association Coordinator, Amato Rungano said while residents appreciate council efforts to rehabilitate roads in the town, the recent  grading and re-graveling of the road linking Chipinge Hospital and the market place is no longer trafficable because of dust. Meanwhile Chipinge Town Council Chair Lovemore Mkwapati said council is working on a long term plan to fully rehabilitate the roads in the area but currently a water bowser is being used to address the dust issue.
