The Ministry of Public Service Labour and Social Welfare says migration resource centres are vital for verification of one’s destination when migrating to other countries thereby protecting travellers from issues like human trafficking. Public Service Labour and Social Welfare Chief Director Mr Clifford Matorera made the revelation to Diamond Fm and encouraged Zimbabweans planning to migrate to make use of the resource centres for guaranteed safety before travelling. He added that they are engaging development partners to establish these facilities in border towns such as Mutare and Chirundu.
Currently the resource centres are in Harare, Beitbridge and Plumtree, with one nearing completion in Bulawayo.
