The Government has been applauded for making plans to ensure that vulnerable households are food secure following a poor 2021-22 summer cropping season where most farmers incurred losses due to erratic rainfall experienced in most parts of the country. Manicaland Secretary For Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mr Edgars Seenza expressed gratitude to the government for working with other stakeholders in mobilizing food relief aid while modalities to establish needy families in the province are still ongoing. He further said agro-ecological region 4 and 5 were worst affected in Manicaland and will be prioritized for the relief aid.
