The government says engagements with local authorities have been made to set up solar farms for increased electricity generation and use of green energy. In an interview, Manicaland Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Mr Edgars Seenza said a 300 megawatt solar project in middle Sabi has commenced, adding that they have urged local authorities to ease conditions for entry for the various investors that have shown interest in the green energy sector. He added that sites have also been identified for potential hydro-generation of electricity in the province.
