The Government through the District Development Fund is set to drill two solar powered boreholes in schools countrywide under the Presidential Rural Development program. Addressing villagers in Katemaruru village, Makoni District during the Provincial Launch of the program held recently; Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister, Dr Anxious Masuka said the development would alleviate water shortages in schools across the country. The Presidential Rural Development program compliments existing Government programs such as the Horticulture Recovery Plan and the Agriculture and Food Systems Transformation Strategy directed at achieving an US$8,2million agricultural sector by 2025.
