The establishment of a state of the art fruit and vegetable wholesale market with requisite facilities in Mutare under the Sakubva Urban renewal project has been described as paramount in enhancing the province’s export farm produce due to its proximity to neighboring Mozambique’s ports.
Addressing potential investors during a stakeholder meeting recently, Consultant and developer of Sakubva Renewal Project’s architecture and infrastructure, Dr Hillary Mukaratirwa said plans are on course to engage ZIMTRADE to assist in this initiative and enable farmers from districts within the province gather their produce at the facility for export. He further highlighted that various sections of the project have been receiving support from the local business sector.
