The Dairy Services Unit has revealed that Zimbabwe’s dairy sector recorded a 20% increase in milk production during the first quarter of this year, owing to government support to dairy farmers through provision of inputs for growing cattle feed. DSU Principal Dairy Officer Mr Addmore Waniwa said that the increase is a positive trajectory to the attainment of 90 million liters target set for this year. He added that government stands committed to supporting dairy farmers to grow feed for increased milk production and reducing feed import.
