Farmers urged to protect their livestock from winter diseases

Farmers in Manicaland have been urged to protect their livestock from diseases that come with the winter season.

In an interview, Manicaland Veterinary Service Department’s Chief Health Inspector Mr Roy Dube warned on lung diseases caused by the cold emphasizing on the need to put wind breaks on the shelter of the animals which leave outdoor as well as making sure there is adequate warmth. He further called on farmers to consult veterinary officers to avoid losses.
