Farmers in Checheche dryland area have bemoaned shortage of irrigation equipment in the area saying this has negatively affected the production of crops. Manicaland Cotton Commodity Chairperson Albert Kuchera said the poor infrastructure on the existing irrigation systems is resulting in food insecurity and low income for farmers as most of the crops grown in the area are highly water dependent.
