The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe says foreign currency receipts in the country are going up with the country having received US 9.7 billion dollars in 2021 compared to 7 billion received the previous year.

RBZ governor Dr John Mangudya made the remarks while addressing guests during a public lecture at Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences in Mutare recently, further stating that due to the upward trend the country has strong foreign currency buffers. He also gave assurance that economic activities remain robust within the target growth of 5.5 percent, urging local people not to panic.
