National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has embarked on Project Dzimba, an initiative that is aimed at assisting disabled pensioners to access decent shelter that supports the pensioner’s new physical conditions.

In an interview, NSSA Deputy Director Marketing and Communication Tendai Mutseyekwa said as an authority they realized that most grossly injured pensioners were living in deplorable environments not suitable for their health and well-being, adding that to date at least 105 pensioners have benefitted from this initiative. Project Dzimba is an added initiative that is delivered over and above traditional benefits covered under Accident Prevention Workers Compensation Scheme (APWSC).
