A local developmental organization is initiating a project called Strengthening Accountability Networks among civil society organizations to raise awareness on community accountability.
In an interview Transparency International Zimbabwe Research and Advocate Officer Samuel Matiki said the project seeks to create a platform between officials who were elected in the recent by-elections and residents from their respective wards to effectively discuss developmental issues.
He added that by the end of the program citizens would be in a position to take a leading role in advocating for more transparency, thereby mitigating corruption within the country.
