Mutare City Council has been commended for the progressive works on the construction of the water pipeline supplying water to suburbs in Dangamvura which had gone for over ten years without continuous water supply.
Speaking during the tour of the water infrastructure yesterday, ZimFund Manager Mr Emmanuel Nzabanita said despite the delays of the program by Covid 19 Mutare City Council has managed to make use of the funds in ensuring that residents have enough supply of water.
Meanwhile, one of the benefitting residents Mr Elison Bhasopo expressed gratitude to the development saying regular water supply is assisting in increased household hygiene.
ZimFund water and sanitation consolidation works project, being funded by the Africa Development Bank is meant to resuscitate and regain the capacities of the water and waste water treatment facilities and stabilizing service delivery through giving sustained institutional support.
