At least 100 farmers in Honde Valley received training on Macadamia farming and assistance in establishment of nurseries of the produce from the Agricultural Marketing Authority(AMA). AMA Provincial Inspector Mrs Rose Rosario said they managed to partner with fertilizer companies for farmers to gain skills in proper application of fertilizer as well as other pest control pesticides for smooth production. Honde Valley farmers have the potential to transform their lives through macadamia farming as the area has weather conditions that are similar to those experienced in Chipinge.
