Chief Makumbe says due to the dry spells experienced in Buhera district and most parts of the country several families have become food insecure this year and will soon require food relief aid. Chief Makumbe said an assessment to establish needy families is currently being carried out by the District Development Coordinator’s Office to necessitate requisite aid. The Agricultural Technical and Extension Services is on record saying Buhera district has been hard hit by the erratic rainfall received this year.
