The Insurance and Pensions Commission says plans are on course to carry out a survey to establish micro-pensions for workers in the informal sector, to enable them to guard against poverty at old age. Speaking during a joint IPEC and NSSA media engagement with journalist IPEC Director Pension Supervisor Cuthbert Munjoma, said the survey is meant to enable establishment of a scheme that best meets the requirement of beneficiaries in Zimbabwe. Weighing in NSSA Chief Social Security Officer Tambudzai Jongwe, said they are already working with Internation Labour Organization to design a scheme for workers in the informal sector which is expected to be launched next year.
