Decentralization of fruit and vegetable markets improve working conditions for farmers

Informal traders in Mutare have hailed decentralization of fruit and vegitable markets by Mutare City Council saying it has created dignified working spaces for them. Mutare Informal Traders Association Itai Kariparire said the development has improved working conditions for informal traders as well as creating market linkages for them and rural farmers. He further acknowledged the role of City Council in facilitating the construction of modern vending sites for the informal traders.
