Government has been applauded for availing $1.5 million under devolution funds for the construction of Samhutsa primary school in Chipinge. Chipinge ward 2 Councillor Agrippa Mayanga appreciated government’s intervention saying villagers have been facing challenges in constructing the school. The National Development Strategy 1 provides an opportunity for the development of rural areas, which have been lagging behind in various aspects including education as the strategy recognizes the importance of devolution in the attainment of an upper middle income economy by 2030.
