The ruling ZANU PF has postponed primary elections which were scheduled for this Thursday to Friday. The party has deployed Politburo, Central Committee, National Elections Commissioners and secretariat to preside over the primary elections.
In a statement, Zanu PF National Political Commissar Cde Mike Bimha said provincial leaders should take instructions and guidance from Politburo members deployed to their respective provinces. The party headquarters will assign Central Committee members to serve as presiding officers in the National Assembly primary elections. Provinces have been requested to provide polling officers in both parliamentary and council elections as well as presiding officers in the local authority primaries.
