Buhera smallholder farmers have commended Government on the recently commissioned Murambinda water supply station saying this will boost their farming activities. Buhera District Agronomist Peter Mafukidze said the water station will increase the availability of more irrigation schemes in 5 wards of the district as it draws water from the recently completed Marovanyati Dam. Murambinda water supply was established in 1968 with the station being driven by boreholes but demand for water kept increasing before a conventional treatment plant being set up in 2007.
