Macadamia nut farmers in Chipinge District this year expect low yields owing to low rainfall being experienced in the district. Chipinge horticultural Specialist Mr Charles Mhandu says the situation is challenging for farmers in Marirangwe and Mutakura where the nuts are mainly grown, as most of the farmers are not under irrigation schemes. Meanwhile calls have been made for farmers to apply migratory measures in response to climate change.
