Farmers in the province have been encouraged to diversify their crops and grow short seasoned crops like onions, cabbage, sugar beans, peas, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower for quick returns as they are waiting to harvesting maize. In an interview Agronomist Clemence Mucharedzeyi further encouraged farmers to continue taking farming as a business and find other ways to finance their maize farming.
