Zimbabwe Farmer’s Union has encouraged seed companies to produce seeds that are resistant to diseases and pest. In an interview ZFU Manicaland provincial manager Denis Chisevure said due to climate change seed companies should invest in research for the benefit of farmers and livestock. Small farmers in Zimbabwe have been affected by climate change-induced drought and heat in recent years.
