Chiefs in Manicaland have been commended for adopting bee keeping projects in areas of their jurisdiction, as various organizations are prioritizing the project in a bid to improve nutrition from locally produced natural and healthier foods like honey made locally. Addressing chiefs and guest during the Chiefs end of year dinner recently, Allied Timbers Zimbawe Chief Executive Officer Mr Remigio Nenzou said training chiefs on beekeeping is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, saying the Traditional Chiefs Beekeeping Training is the first for Chiefs in the country and beyond. Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Hon Nokuthula Matsekenyeri, provincial development coordinator Mr Edgars Seenza commended Allied Timbers for pledging to create market synergies for local honey produced.
