Farmers in ward 12, Nyanga Rural District have appealed to government and well-wishers for assistance in constructing a sales floor for their farm produce. Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Ward Councilor Anna Manimanzi said the establishment of a sales floor will boost sales for local produce as farmers are selling at giveaway prices to middlemen from as far as Harare and Mutare. She added that a sales floor structure will attract more employment opportunities for young people in the area.
