Reusable sanitary pads project by Hope for Kids

At least 45 women drawn from 10 Villages in Mutare South Constituency have been trained to sew reusable sanitary pads by a local Non Govermental Organisation in partnership with the ministry of Women’s Affairs, small and medium enterprises development. Hope for KIDS menstrual health Coordinator; Lisa Mangwende says that the training is part of efforts to empower women through beneficial life skills and promoting general menstrual hygiene. Meanwhile, Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Coordinator for Rowa community Mrs Florence Razunguzwa applauded the initiative saying it complements the girl child empowerment drive being steered by First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa.
