People in Manicaland have been challenged to focus on departing from a conflictual past to a harmonious future where peaceful coexistence of various segments of the society including people of diverse political views is a key priority. In a speech read on her behalf by the Provincial Development Coordinator, Mr Edgars Seenza at a National Peace and Reconciliation Commission meeting in Mutare yesterday, the Minister of State for Manicaland, Honourable Nokuthula Matsikenyere, urged peace committees to take necessary preventive measures to facilitate local level dialogues to deal with cyclical electoral violence as the nation approaches elections. She further emphasized on the need to include everyone in efforts to promote peace in the province, as enunciated by the President.
