The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement has called on farmers to adopt new technology in their farming systems. Speaking during the tour of Matanuska banana farm in Burma Valley yesterday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Dr John Basera said new farming systems improve yield quality and quantity and go a long way in cost cutting. He further commended the installation of solar power by the farm saying they have cut more than 50 percent of the power they use off the grid.
