Mutare Wards set to benefit food aid

Fourteen wards in Mutare District are set to benefit from food aid under an initiative by the World Food Programme. District Development Coordinator Mr Wilson Boore said, following the food security assessment done by the Zimbabwe Vulnerability Assessment Committee, the fourteen wards have been classified as seriously in need of aid.He added that the registration has started in those wards which are being spearheaded by Action Aid Zimbabwe under the World Food Programme further mentioning that 63% of the population in each ward is expected to be fed during the period of this October to December and from January to March next year they will top up to 70 %.
