Calls have been made for the Grain marketing board to timeously pay farmers who have begun harvesting their winter wheat in Manicaland to avoid side marketing. The calls follow commencement of winter wheat harvesting in the province by farmers who had their crop planted early. Zimbabwe Farmers Union Provincial Manager Dennis Chisevure told Diamond Fm that following a good season, several farmers have started delivering their grain to local GMB depots.
