Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ZimTrade this morning, which targets to create an active partnership in areas of research, training and innovation to enhance the national export thrust development. MSUAS Vice Chancellor Professor Albert Chawanda said the MoU is key in enabling and facilitating research and innovation in the area of exportation by assisting the institution in exporting horticulture and honey produce as well as certification of indigenous products. Meanwhile ZimTrade Chief Executive Mr. Allan Majuru pledged to marketing the institution and support it in exporting its products, as it complements the efforts by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to support innovation hubs as well as supporting learners to conduct researches that help the community and empower ZimTrade to address trade issues effectively. The MoU which will facilitate funding opportunities in research, innovation and export promotion among other areas of cooperation will run for 5 years which are open for renewal.
