Buhera Residents Network Trust has expressed concern over the dilapidation of infrastructure at several schools in the district, calling for collaborated efforts from government and other stakeholders to build resilient buildings to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students. Trust Coordinator, Leonard Mabasa says due to the poor infrastructure in schools like Mutezo, Charambira, Kadenga primary schools as well as Mukodza and Kadenga secondary schools, enrollment and pass rates have dropped. Government’s National development strategy 1 prioritizes education for all under the Human Capital Development which focuses on innovation, intellectual property, revamp of Zimbabwe’s education system and STEAM.
